This week I’m sharing a powerful interview with you.
I spoke with Susy Ashworth, from The Calm Birth School, about how I birthed a new version of me, as I birthed my twins in an EPIC home birth.
My kids were born 33 hours apart over 6 days of labor (read the full story here).
It was the most extraordinary, miraculous experience that I had lived thus far.
But the real miracle was how I deliberately formed the new me, who trusted her intuition more than anyone or anything else in this world. And how that transformed me forever.
My birth experience was a bootcamp in finding happiness and learning to Trust (with a capital T!).
In this video you’ll learn how I went from feeling totally disillusioned and fucked up (how in the world would I even be a good mother?) to feeling capable, clear, empowered and totally in charge.
The only difference between those who manifest what they want and those who don’t, is an incessant belief that it’s possible.
It takes big trust to know that your dream is already on it’s way, even if you can’t see it now.
In other words, if you’re not already living the dream, it only means that you are on your way there. {Tweet it!}
Watch this interview to learn the practices I found most powerful to align with the kind of birth (and more empowered and thriving version of me) that I most desired.
Now I’d love to hear from you.
Please tell me in the comments below about your birth or your greatest manifestation, or share what has been blocking you from listening to your intuition and paving your own path.
I’d love to know what you took away from this interview! Because this whole topic of women’s empowerment is so close to my heart.
I hope this video left you feeling more excited and inspired to follow what feels right to you. Because you have come to this life to create your own unique mark on the world.
And that’s what I wish for you and for me – to continue to follow our bliss, whether it’s popular or not, and be the example of what we want to see more of in the world.
Many blessings dear ones, thank you for watching this interview, sharing it and leaving a comment!
This video was originally featured on The Calm Birth School.
Watched this and cried. I’ve always wanted to be a mother and now at 26 years old I am reflecting on who I am and thinking the same thing you thought, “I don’t know if I would be a good mom”. That thought makes me want to become a better person. Beautiful video! Very hopeful!
Laura, it begins with a decision – everything else follows! Hope you join my upcoming membership program to help you become who you want to be!!
It’s funny Laura, whilst some of women innately know they are going to make amazing mothers, many like me and you question whether we have what it takes. I genuinely believe having the self awareness to ask ourselves the question in the first place is a fantastic indicator that we have what it takes to be great mothers. Why? Because you’re already thinking about the well being of your unborn child, that’s love.
Totally agree with you, Suzy!
AAAAAA-mazing interview! I cried, I felt, again, the empowerment of my own (2nd) birth story, of which you had such a big part of, (and a bit of healing from my first birth story), and even felt, for a moment, like maybe I want to do it again ;-).
I knew most of your story but I really loved that you shared leading up to the actually “event” and also your experience with breastfeeding and mastitis. Your “vunerbility” will help soooo many women preparing for birth…and as you said, motherhood. It should be an empowering time for EVERY woman, no matter how they arrive there. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Xoxoxoxox
Oh, Kari, thank you!! Celebrating and cheering with you the empowerment and healing you experienced in your births!
I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED doing this interview. Thanks so much Lana for sharing your story with us. So many women from around the world are going to benefit from your strength, wisdom and experience. We salute you. 🙂
I LOVED our interview Suzy!!! Thank you for creating a safe space for women to educated themselves about empowering birth options!
Thank you for such powerful content and inspiring me to define motherhood on my own terms through my intuition. Love It!
Yes, empowered women create a more empowered world, Ayisha!!
