I’m a hustler baby, I just want you to know It ain’t where I been, but where I’m bout to go [Top of the world!] ~Jay-Z
Where you currently stand in your life is a result of your past thoughts and beliefs. Where you are ’bout to go is determined by your present way of thinking and living.
Alan Kay reminds us that “The best way to predict the future is to create it”.
Visioning is by far the most powerful manifestation tool, rivaled only by the practice of deliberate gratitude. I have written quite a few blog posts on how to find success through appreciation. Now it’s time to dive into visioning!
Tuning into your heart and mind to allow great visions to occur to you will bring many short and long-term benefits:
- You will feel inspired to new ways of thinking, new perspectives and new behaviors. Visioning paves new neural pathways in the brain so you can literally rewire your mind and shift your beliefs.
- You will feel so damn good! You will quickly realize that visioning is not just useful to achieve future manifestations, but for feeling amazing right here, in the present. And that is the best manifestation!
- Visioning will bring resistance to the surface so that you can transform those fears, anxieties and old patterns. By shedding light on self-imposed hurdles you can clear them and step into your dream.
“Cherish your visions and your dreams as they are the children of your soul, the blueprints of your ultimate achievements.” ~Napoleon Hill
You can visualize, simulate and dream in infinite ways. I will be posting articles describing in detail three main visioning modes that I love to practice. Each of them will help you soar beyond what you have experienced before and teach you how to be a deliberate creator in your life!
Three Main Visioning Techniques
1. Visualizing – Imagining and guided visualizations.
2. Speaking – Rampages of appreciation and MasterMinding.
3. Writing – Writing a script about past, present or future.
Of course there are other ways to embody a new way of being such as creative expression through art and movement, Tantric practices, yoga, etc. However, these three techniques focus directly on identifying and lining up with a specific vision.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing you dream juicier, more delicious dreams AND make them yours! I am so excited to share with you everything that I have learned in 15 years of studying manifestational, therapeutic and transformational techniques.

Visioning Series (Part 2 of 4): The Power of Visualization
Hey Lana. I read a book about visualization this summer and realized that I had been unknowingly using it for many years. That was great because I already knew it worked. I have been practicing and bringing things into my life ever since. It is amazing how much power we hold over our life and results. I look forward to this series of posts.
You are a natural born manifester Lorna! Let me know if you have any specific questions about any forms of visioning. I am so excited to share what I’ve learned about deliberate creation in the next few weeks!
How can i get my teeth straight… i want one of my teeth to move forward and make it look presentable… how can i do that with visionaries and scripting. Pls ans me this is my only wish to come true ????????????????❤❤ I’m waiting for your reply.
Like with anything, practicing the vibration of what you want will lead you to solutions that you seek – including straighter teeth!
Hi Lana,
This is great advice, and I can’t wait to learn more about manifesting…although I do now practice it and believe in it more than ever. I am a huge believer in writing a script about past, present and future and use that technique with my clients all the time to have breakthroughs with their relationship with food. It is SO powerful. I can’t wait for you to share more details on your personal approach:).
Thank you, as always…
Elise, so excited to share all that I know with you and I can’t way to get your opinion on my version of scripting!
Hi Lana, I cannot wait to read your posts! I am a huge fan of visualization and actually practice it every single day. It has helped me make things come true I never would have thought possible! Thanks for sharing your wisdom :-).
I’d love to hear more about what type of visualization you use Nathalie. I hope that by breaking down various modes I can add something to your visioning toolbox! 🙂
I love the visualizing and find that I do this naturally after a sitting meditation or during a walking meditation.
I look forward to digging deeper with your guidance and allowing some amazing visions to come to life in 2014.
xo
Elena
Thank you Elena! We do visioning all the time: every time we speak, think or feel, we are focusing on some version of reality and pre-paving the future. The question is, which version do you want to focus on and deliberately bring into your life? Can’t wait to share my tips and tricks with you!
As I had told a friend recently, by using photos (unwittingly at the time) of things I loved (and desired) as my computer desktop backgrounds and screensavers, I ended up manifesting the house that I currently live in and it’s wooded environment that I love, as well as return trips to exotic locales that I had previously thought would be a one-shot trip of a lifetime if I ever went at all! By placing these ideas consistently in my line of vision I think I inadvertently changed the ideas about them that my subconscious had about them and now I am living them everyday!
I had to laugh as I just looked at the screensaver on my new computer that I haven’t customized the screen for yet…it is of being inside a big wave like a surfer would see it. I am laughing because I had decided last week to take up surfing!!! Seriously!!! I am headed to several premiere surfing areas in the world in the latter part of 2014 and thought it would be nice if I could at least give it an attempt as it was a desire of mine once upon a time in my youth. So I’d say the visualization thing has a strong effect on me.
My question would be about visualizing things that I do not currently associate with a visual image…like the recent realization of probably having adult Asperger’s and the impact it’s had on my life that I always had contributed to other things.
I am looking forward to your posts, especially the ones about writing in the past, present and future in this regard. But I guess I need a visual first, as that is what you will be presenting first. Any ideas?
You rock! 😀
I love how much fun you are having with selecting things that ring your bells in the buffet of life, Lisa! And surfing is awesome! I moved to Southern California from Northern California in 2006 for no other reason that I wanted to learn how to surf! And in the end this move brought me my husband and a whole new life!
As far as visualizing thins that are not physical in nature, it is vital to get to the feeling of what you want to feel and simulate this feeling – in essence visualizing viscerally instead of through imagination.
So for something like adult Aspergers – what is it that you want to feel? Clarity, self acceptance, ease, etc.? I will take you through each mode of visioning and you may find that it’s easier for you to focus on a feeling when you speak or write, rather than visualize. Hope this clarifies some things and I can’t wait to hear what you think of the upcoming posts!
Oh my GOSH. You are going to laugh, Lana…so, I’ve been prepping some demo videos for my upcoming ‘Vision Board Dreams’ launch (can’t wait to have you!), and I pulled out my stack of old magazine clippings that I like to use for vision boarding. Lo and behold, at the bottom of the pile, I found a perfectly cut-out image of a silver-colored Subaru Forester…I don’t even remember when I found the image, but there it was. I freaked (in a good way, of course).
Flashback to December of last year, I bought a new car – GUESS what kind of make and model it was? Yep, a Subaru Forester – and it’s silver!! Crazy. I didn’t even link the two together until I saw that cut-out YESTERDAY!!! I love this manifesting stuff. I’ve always been a true believer……XO
I love hearing stories like this one Desiree! Because it confirms the that the Law of Attraction is working, whether you utilize it deliberately or not! But deliberately visioning and inviting awesomeness into your life is much more fun! 😉
My visualizing involves imagining my next beach vacation. (It’s cold here). I’d have to say most of the magic happens when I work directly with my clients and they have an ‘aha’ moment.
What tips do you have for visioning when you’re not in the moment with a client?
Can’t wait for the series of post to come out. I’ve heard a lot of things about visioning but I haven’t been able to vision anything without being distracted, but what am really good at is talking to myself, I hear myself saying what i want to happen. I get chills hearing about it and seeing things unfold.
What am talking about is always more than i can imagine and i feel what is possible if i can just hold on to my desire and believe.
Think and grow rich was what started me on this journey though I’ve read it multiple times I’m still working on the skills.
Looking forward to your upcoming post.
Super excited to have you for the ride of your life in this visioning series Joyce! Like anything, visioning gets easier and more fun with practice and I will be offering plenty of practice in the coming weeks!
Hi Lana, great minds DO think alike:-)
I pre-pave my upcoming year starting in October around my birthday. For next year, I’m using the Canary cruise as my anchor. Who do I want to be on the cruise? What do I want my life to be like by the cruise?
I’ve rehearsed, and continue to rehearse, the conversations that I’ll be having on the cruise.
I’ve found that the more robust and vibrant your vision, the more it comes to fruition. It’s not about the checklist. It’s about having that full, vivid picture and tangible feeling in your imagination.
Oh what fun it is!!!
More fun than that is when the vision becomes reality. It feels like deja vu:-)
Oh, Nneka, I love that you milk your visions for all they’re worth and know that the actual manifestation will be just a natural next step! I am looking forward to the 2014 Abraham-Hicks Canary Islands cruise too and even visualized how amazing it will be to take my whole family and celebrate life. Love our synchronicities!
Lana,
This is something I have just begun to learn about this year and have already seen in such a short time the power that it truly has! I love your clarity in explaining something that at one time (not very long ago!) seemed so foreign to me. The part that I have noticed is that it does shed to light those mental hurdles and that it is bringing them up to be dealt with is so important for me to remember. I have already seen some battles with the mind since I began my path and have been unwinding some tightly held beliefs, unconscious as they were before. Those deep pathways in my mind have been influencing so many of my decisions and I was totally unaware! Grateful for the light being shed in that way.
Thanks for this post, I will be forwarding it on to some friends : )
Dear Court, my understanding and practice of visioning in all of it’s forms has been expanding and I continue to learn new things! I am so glad that you’ve already experienced some of the benefits of visioning. I
t may sometimes feel like you are taking a step backwards when acknowledging the hurdles/resistance, but it is always coming up to offer the gift of clarity and propulsion. In Vision Power Hours, I help clients identify and work through the blockages and then they are free to step into themselves and their dream in a much bigger way!
I am so excited to share the details about the three modes of visioning with you in the next few weeks so that you can practice them to create an unbelievable, extraordinary, incredible 2014!
Hi Lana, As you know I love your work and the way you have sculpted your visions and services. I have been using visioning for many years, every since I first read, “Creative Visualization” by Shakti Gawain – in the 80’s I believe.
I learned long ago that what I see on the outside is always a reflection of what’s going on on the inside and I’ve lived my life that way ever since. It keeps me honest with myself.
Now I have to get better at not sending the Universe mixed messages…and that means becoming more aware of my thoughts and gaining even more clarity! Learning never stops…
I love love love this and look forward to your posts. I manifested my daughter 6 years ago, and have been visioning a baby brother for her in 2014. I learned that visioning for me means not only visualizing it, but feeling it, and feeling like it already am. My goal is to carry this over to my business next year. and be more clear about what it is I desire.
I completely agree Claire – for me the whole reason for selecting a certain scenario to envision is to get to a better and better feeling-state. Congratulations on brining your daughter into this world and I have no doubt that another beautiful child is on its way to you! I am so excited to work with you to help you get clear about what you want and how to become a magnet to attract it!
Hii Lana
Your posts are really amazing
I have a question though
I am not able to involve my senses in my visionings
How can I do that effectively ?
